Spring Giveaway 
It happened...our house closing scheduled for TODAY got pushed back a week as of YESTERDAY ughhh...last minute cancel huh? I know this sort of thing happens all the time but when you are all packed up and have renters waiting to get in it is incredibly frustrating (cancel Uhaul rental: check- plan on possibly staying with your parents to get renters in on time?? check. Pray that the weather is as warm as it was supposed to be this weekend for moving? check.) It'll be fine though, I have faith. (One more week, one more week) Please keep your fingers crossed for a smooth closing next week!
On a lighter note- Heather and I just booked our room at the legendary Hotel Roanoke for our upcoming 5 year college reunion this summer at Hollins University! We are BEYOND excited and I sort of feel like that overly spirited yearbook girl (Melissa Joan Hart) from the movie Can't Hardly Wait hahaha anyone remember that one?
Another note about the Hotel Roanoke if you're wondering why I used the word legendary- because Jessica Simpson has stayed there! (back when she was dating John Mayor and he was playing there and I was in college and should have been arrested for trying to stalk her....) If you know me, then you know my undying love for all things Jessica Simpson. Sorry...this will never change. AND we've never stayed there before and they have an awesome air tunnel walkway straight to the heart of downtown (no cabs needed!)
Hubby and I have been married SIX MONTHS TODAY!! How has a half of a year gone by already and so so quickly??? LOVE him!
I WAS Melissa Joan Hart's character in that movie in high school. Oh boy, was I annoying! haha

ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the delay in closing. I know it can be so frustrating! We bought our first house as a short sale and it took us FIVE MONTHS to close. Happy 6 month anniversary! It flies by so fast, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteHappy half-year anniversary! And, there is nothing more frustrating or stressful than buying/closing on a house! I was so ready to pull my hair out during that process and I'm pretty sure I drank my weight in wine until we got those keys in our hands.

OMG! I am so sorry about your house closing getting pushed back. I can totally relate. When we bought our house our closing got bumped a few times, too. I thought buying our house was WAY more stressful than getting married or having our daughter. Hang in there! You will be in there in no time! I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
