Reno #3 Update

Wednesday, February 20, 2019
Hey y'all! I'm coming in hot with a few updates on renovation number 3. We're busy trucking along and so thrilled with the progress thus far. The hubs has 100% finished the interior painting and it all looks incredible! (very happy with using Sherwin Williams paint this time around) We took a few (but fun) risks in the color department and I'm absolutely loving it. I wish I could better share with y'all how each room looks but today's post is brought to you by Mr. iPhone only (haha) They're now finishing up stripping and repainting all the trim and molding so that it can go back into place.  The pictures and rooms will look so much more put together once we get that trim back in place. Doors are also starting to be painted and its really brightening every single room! Speaking of brightening a room, the dining room ceiling is Hague Blue and I ordered the below ceiling medallion to go smack dab in the center. I'm swooning over it since it was delivered yesterday and cannot wait to get it up!

We just initialized siding and if you remember from the last renovation, the siding is what almost (did) brought me to tears. It makes the world of difference to update and transform the dingy exterior in a home that hasn't been lived in or touched in over 30 years. Start date for siding is March 11th so stay tuned!

cannot wait until the siding goes on! Y'all may need sunglasses...

On the design front, I finalized and ordered the kitchen sink, drain, faucet and ceiling medallion for the dining room.  I'm in love with all of them and cannot wait to see them installed. I'll link them all in the final reveal. I recently snagged two
Chippendale style rattan chairs for the sun room and started to line up a schedule on when to lacquer the dining room table and chairs. The wallpaper for the wet bar and butler's pantry has been finalized. However, recommended by my interior designer bestie, I've ordered a sample of the wallpaper that will most likely go in the laundry/half bath just because its a tad more bold than the wet bar pineapple choice. Its coming in from Europe so it should take a little over a week to arrive. (Thanks Hill and Davis Interiors!)

I'm thinking two of these chairs in the bright white sunroom

I still need to decide on three matching light fixtures to go down the hallway and y'all it is still killing me. However, the rest of the fixtures are sort of picked out. Anyway, I digress. Lets dive into a big ole' photo dump of paint colors and room updates shall we?

Andi's little bathroom is pretty much finished!

Living room in Sherwin Williams matched Wisteria Snow by Valspaar

This is SO hard to really show! It looks so much darker in pictures.
The color is Farrow & Ball's Hague Blue

Master bath sconces going in and SW Repose Gray

Master Bedroom in SW Naval (can't wait for the trim to go up!)

Closet in SW Destiny

Kitchen in SW Pure White

Andi's room in SW Lighthearted Pink

Sunroom in SW Pure White

Entryway and halls in SW Alabaster White

Happy Wednesday and thanks for linking up today! Stay tuned on Insta stories for more up-to-date renovation #3 updates! follow me @jessisdesign

5 things that make me happy

Friday, February 15, 2019
Hey y'all! Happy Fri-yay! I hope everyone had a great Valentines day or I hope you're about to have a great celebration this weekend. I'm currently at the bay and just enjoying being by the water (cold or not) Today I'm joining in on the Friday 5 fun with the usual gang because it has been quite some time since I linked up and shared 5 fun things. Join me!

Happy weekend!

1. Green, blue, neutrals & greek key all paired together

2. Speaking of green, I want to add more of it into my wardrobe! Loving these pants and this clutch from Red Dress Boutique (fun fact: I knew I had seen Hannah G on the Bachelor and its because she's on of the models for that website..ha!)

3. We finalized the plans for the closet island and instead of going with a granite or marble top like we did in the last renovation, we've decided to go with the glass inserts with jewelry storage. I'm obsessed!

4. Y'all...do I need these shoes? I just added them to my Amazon list because they will practically match my black legging uniform when I'm out and about or at home. I mean, how cute are these?

5. This tweet from Chrissy Teigen gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME - I want to be her friend!

Sweetheart Ball 2019

Wednesday, February 13, 2019
Hey y'all and happy What's Hap-pinning Wednesday! Today I don't have a reno update post for y'all but I am feeling compelled to share a super fun event that took place last week for Miss A. Also, tomorrow is Valentines day so I feel like this is totally appropriate. Last Saturday was Andi's very first Daddy/Daughter (or Grandpa, uncle or guardian) Sweetheart Ball. Hubs took off work (which by the way was super surprising) and they had the BEST time.

The ball was put on by the PTSA so luckily I was able to volunteer so that I could be there and spy the entire time. Oh man it was the cutest thing ever! She danced circles around him and her friends and she also ate about 10 plates of snacks from the buffet. She picked out her dress and and it fit perfectly with the school colors and theme. I also let her wear makeup while we were getting her ready (don't freak - it was a swipe of mascara, blush and lip gloss and it was absolutely precious) Her Dada then surprised her with a little flower corsage and off they went! They even had professional photos done at the dance and I'm anxiously awaiting those! I have to admit I cried a little...it gave me all the future flashes of homecomings and prom. Time slow down!

We're getting ready to head to the bay I believe so I hope y'all have a great rest of the week and happy Valentines Day! (almost)

Heart Eyes

Wednesday, February 6, 2019
Love is in the air! (haha) No but really - who doesn't get excited for Valentines day? Maybe not just the romantic aspect but for the frilly and cute explosion of cheesy-ness and all things pink! Miss Andi has 13 students in her pre-K class and I cannot wait for them to do the little exchange of valentine cards. Mamas- do y'all make them? Buy a little box from the store? Hand out treats? Give me all the ideas! So far we snagged Disney Princess ones with scented heart tattoos that she fell in love with. I'm pretty sure the Hubs will be away on the actual day so Miss Andi and I will have to plan a dinner date and maybe a fun evening of pink mocktails and cookie making!

What are your favorite Valentines day activities? Enjoy the rest of your week and thanks for linking up today!
