Friday 5

Friday, April 28, 2017
Hey ya'll - cheers to the weekend! I must admit, I drafted and scheduled this post because I am currently enjoying a mini vacay at our bay house! The weather is warm, we've been here since Wednesday and we celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday tomorrow! It really doesn't get much better except for the fact that I wish Hubby's schedule allowed him to come the entire time as well. Mom and I scheduled Dad a massage for tomorrow and we'll plan to do some sort of seafood dinner out I'm sure. While he's getting pampered we'll probably hit up some of our favorite local shops with Miss A or plant our butt's on the beach and not move. This is technically my first bay trip of the season and even though I despise heat and summer - I'm pretty darn excited to keep coming back all season long!

Linking up with AprilKarliAndrea & Amanda so grab the buttons and join in on the fun! #TGIF

Ya'll know how much I love bows for Miss A and I even make my own -but look how cute this new one turned out from The Tipsy Bunny! I seriously cannot get enough and definitely could not resist - April is the best! And can we talk about Miss A's first pony tail? AH Love it!

These Zulilly finds lately - how cute and fun are these Mommy & Me collections lately?

Speaking of summer time and more outdoor activities, my MIL got this sand/water play table for Miss A's birthday and she has been thoroughly enjoying it. I love that it comes with an umbrella for tons of outdoor play! Check it out here (its on sale!)

Favorite jam this week is Stay by Alessia Cara & Zedd. I have no idea why but when this comes on I just love it and turn it up! Not my usual but such a catchy beat!

Favorite funny: This article ya'll is 100% me! I read this and laughed outloud multiple times and even had to tag my hubby in this one. Made my day!

WHW: Summer Preview

Wednesday, April 26, 2017
Hey ya'll and welcome to another What's Hap-'pinning' Wednesday with Jenn and little ole' me! Again, thank ya'll SO much for joining us and linking up each week! I was going to share our new little porch reveal but the constant rain we've had lately has postponed the finished product so I'll try and share that next week. Stay tuned! Today I want to share some things that have me in a little premature summer phase. Its supposed to hit 91 by the end of the week here and its only April so a little feeling of Summer is only appropriate. Now remember, I hate heat - hate to sweat and hate being hot. HATE. Strong word - I know. However, if I'm at the beach its a different story. We're actually leaving today for our bay house on the Chesapeake and not coming back until Sunday so I'm a little excited it'll actually be so warm. Mini-vacay to celebrate my Dad's 60th - here we come! Grab our button, link up below and see some of the things that have me in the summer mood.

I just ordered this bathing suit and cannot wait to try it on - its by Nanette Lepore and I got it totally discounted! (like less than $50!)

Also speaking of summer, anyone jumped on the workout train yet? Ah I'm the worst but I've been doing really well with squeezing in at least 3 to 4 workouts per week upstairs in my new office/workout/playroom. (haha) I stick to in-home favorites like 21 day fix full body cardio, basic pilates and Jillian Michael's ripped in 30 but these 10 moves are a perfect reference to what's covered in the core section of the videos.

Annnd what a perfect segue into delicious cocktails after talking about core workouts huh? These cocktails have been on my Pinterest radar for upcoming outdoor entertaining! Cannot wait to sip on these:

1.Watermelon, Cucumber Firecracker
2. Summer pineapple/watermelon sangria
3. Mango margs
4. Champagne margs

Weekending

Monday, April 24, 2017
Hey ya'll and happy start of a new week! We seriously had so much fun this weekend! On Friday night, I went to my first 'Farmville Ladies Night' group and met some fabulous new ladies. We did wine spritzers and clay earring making for this month's theme. Our host does handmade clay earrings in any shape, color and glaze from dangles to studs and sells them on Etsy in her shop. Ya'll have go to check here out - Play with Clay by Martha. She has so many options and sizes to pick from. I was a little nervous at first since I was the new kid on the block but I've already volunteered to co-host next month's meeting and I am so over the moon about these ladies already. (Fun fact: we all went to the same high school!) I've wanted to start a supper club for literally over a year and just haven't executed it yet and this will sort of push me in the right direction. I'm sure I can incorporate a similar theme or concept in future get-togethers or start one on the side and invite a lot of the same ladies I just met! Seriously though, wine + crafts + girls time? I'm in!

How cute are these?!
Here are more styles available in her shop currently!

Saturday we had a friend's wedding at a new venue in town and even though it poured rain a good time was had by all! (I'm talking another one of those I'm 30 years old and cannot party like this anymore nights. ha!) On Sunday, I went to pick up Andi from my parents house and unfortunately Hubs got called out to work. I spent most of the day relaxing since it was cold and rainy and ended up doing dinner with them as well. I got home around 7 on Sunday night, changed the sheets (because fresh sheets are in my top 10 favorite things list) and went to bed early to recoup from the weekend.

Linking up with Biana and Meghan and hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend as well!

Friday 5

Friday, April 21, 2017
Hey ya'll and happy Friday! I have a fun weekend planned with my first girls night with some new ladies in town tonight (I was just recently invited to this group and I'm so excited to meet some new ladies in town!) and we have a wedding on Saturday night. I'm super excited to see the venue where the wedding will be and to celebrate with friends. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and I'll see ya'll back here on Monday! Linking up with AprilKarliAndrea & Amanda so grab the buttons and join in on the fun! #TGIF

Itching to add something cute and affordable to your closet? Ya'll look at this dress that Brittany from Life as the Mrs. shared on Wednesday and its under $50! SO cute and I have got to snag it in blue!

Ya'll we are so close to finishing our little deck add-on and I love it so much already! Basically we had a semi-dangerous concrete slab/stoop that wasn't really up to code. We extended it about 8 feet and added railings for a little porch/landing feel and hubby has done a fabulous job! Here's a little preview:

I took this snap because I thought those little violets were so cute next to a fresh pedicure! Cheers to spring, jacks and warmer temps!

My little flower girl enjoying some barefoot time! I wish I could borrow her skirt!

How good does this quick and easy recipe look? Looking forward to making this asap!

Spring Florals

Wednesday, April 19, 2017
With it being officially Spring and all, do any of ya'll have florals on the brain the way I do? I'm talking within your fashion choices, home decor and actual flowers! I love nothing more than dressing up pretty cheap grocery store flowers in a ginger jar or snagging flowers with Miss A out on our walks and decorating every tiny bud vase on our kitchen windowsill. (Lately she's been all about picking her Mama flowers and I hope it never ends ya'll!) I'm even loving the bold, floral wallpaper choices I've been pinning lately despite how much my hubby shakes his head in disapproval. With all of this being said, I'm dedicating today's post to all things floral. Here are some of my favorite pins lately. What are your favorite Spring trends currently? I'd love to hear your go-to's for decor, fashion and even crafts!

Grab our button and join in below for What's Hap-'Pinning' Wednesday!
