Home Updates: Going Upstairs!

Thursday, October 9, 2014
We have some progress ladies and gentlemen, even with the hubs away! Recently the guest room and guest bath were completed- just ready for furniture and accents! (you know..the fun part) and now progress is being made on the upstairs hall bathroom which I like to refer to as the future kid bathroom. The old vinyl was completely ripped up and new backer board laid down for the tile installation. We picked out the tile and my in-laws picked it up and then hubs sent me in to pick out the paint color. I decided on a sage green like tone and I hope it turns out perfect- The color is Carolina Inn Club Aqua from Valspar Historic collection:

Far right choice

We moved the vanity in the hallway and my father-in-law using a new bedroom upstairs for the tool room. I just love coming home and seeing all the awesome progress! They really have been kicking some major butt!

Next up on the to-do list is the poor porch that I've mentioned before. We knew we had to finish the scraping, sanding and get it painted before winter so we decided to go ahead and hire someone to get it done. (Hubby hates that he isn't here to do it himself...) The work started yesterday and I cannot wait to see it transform. The porch is probably the biggest eye sore on the exterior of the house and when it's done I'm pretty sure it'll be my favorite place! We have a Valspar latex porch floor paint in Lazy River blue going down and the rest will be white. I've taken some before pictures below so ya'll can see what I mean. (sorry for the random sunlight- I was blinded trying to snap photos)

Cheers to moving outdoors and upstairs! Happy Almost Friday ya'll!
