Jenn and I are so excited to have this new outlet for ya'll to come together and share what currently happening in your life, mind, home. etc! Today I've got all things porch on mind. I've always dreamed of a huge porch for family and friends to come sit a spell well into the late Fall. This example I pinned was one of our inspiration pieces with white wicker and hints of blue:
Ya'll, we are seriously just about done with my southern dream of a porch (and then comes the fun part of swing, chairs, planters etc!) Seth and my FIL primed and got the first coat down this weekend and I am more than in love - let me just take you back down memory lane with some before pictures before showing off the afters though.... I'm sure hubby is so proud because he has literally sanded every post, caulked and painted by hand and pretty much by himself! I can't even begin to total the number of hours he probably has in this project (not to mention when he left on his transfer last September, we reluctantly hired someone to do the job which turned out to be a disaster thus proving anything you want done right, you have to do it yourself - well in most cases) So we have basically been plowing along for almost a year (weather is a big factor as well!)
Next on the list? New siding, wrapping the fascia with metal to tie into the white porch and some type of driveway. We also started playing a little in Andi's future bathroom last night! Aren't her towels presh?
