Weekending

Hey ya'll and happy start of a new week!  I fully believe that the Super Bowl needs to be on a Saturday or that there needs to be a holiday on the Monday afterwards. Not that it was super late or anything but it would just make me feel better. I have no motivation today...

We had a fabulous weekend though and I hope ya'll did as well. Friday we celebrated my Mother-in-law's birthday and hung out over there before their dinner plans. Andi made her the cutest craft of a hand print with fingerprint flowers and we also made some girl scout cookie themed cupcakes that were absolutely delish! Saturday I got some stuff done around the house and then ended up hanging out over at my parent's house and going out for Mexican with them. I also finished a new book I read that literally deserves its own post so check back here on Wednesday for a review.

Sunday, Hubs and I went to church and it was Scout Sunday so the children got to lead service. They put on the cutest puppet show showcasing Jesus as their Valentine and Andi had a blast in the nursery doing crafts and coloring. I just have to reiterate how incredibly happy we are with our church family - man it feels fab! Afterwards, we headed out to grab lunch before heading back home to start prepping some snacks for the Super Bowl. I made the usual wings, salsa etc. but tried this new pizza/bread stick roll combo and it was SO easy and SO yummy! Pizza crust, pepperonis and string cheese is all you need. Roll up and brush on with butter, garlic and oregano (Andi did this part) and bake at 450 for a little over 10 minutes. Serve with marinara dipping sauce and they will be gone so quickly! This was the first time in over 3 years that Seth has been off to actually watch the Super Bowl! We had a couple of people over and ate WAY too much food. My motto is why start working out before the big game? So that means today, the new yoga mat is being opened and I HAVE to squeeze something in before the Bachelor ya'll. (Prayers are appreciated) and then of course I'll ruin the workout with the amount of wine I'll consume to get through an episode of the Bachelor with Nick and Corrine. The struggle is real.
