WHW: New Deck

Hey ya'll and happy What's Hap-'Pinning' Wednesday! Today I want to share our new deck that we added outside of our kitchen french doors. We realized that the previous concrete stoop was sort of dangerous and not up to code so we brainstormed some ideas of what we could do to enhance the space. (I also think we were just craving a new home reno project!) We decided to extend it about 8 feet out with some railings and a decorative flower box beside the steps. The railing is also wide enough to set drinks, etc. on and I adore it! We didn't want to make it too large simply because we already had such a great patio space outside. The steps flow down onto the patio where we already have an umbrella, table and chairs. Now we just need outdoor string lights, more flowers and a possible bistro set and I think I'll love this new outdoor space as much as I love our front porch space! Way to go Hubs! Oh, and on top of the deck being finished, he surprised me with a brand new grill to add to the space!
