WHW: Cocoon Cam

Y'all....I have a game changer product to share. When Cocoon Cam reached out to Jessi's Design, I was a little worried. I only say that because this is a baby monitor product with the keyword here being 'baby'. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to give an honest review since I have a 3.5 year old. WRONG. This product is so freakin' cool. I would 100% recommend this to ANY parent but most definitely new parents. This is an HD camera with fantastic night vision which uses smart motion detection to let you know that your child is breathing. Its like two products in one! There are tons of products out there that track breathing because unfortunately SIDS is so common in those early months but Cocoon Cam is the best of both worlds - breathing patterns and detection as well as live image camera, sound and night vision.

I also loved this because even at 3.5 years old, we still use a camera nightly on Miss Andi. Having the Cacoon Cam go straight to your mobile phone saves me from carrying around the separate camera monitor. And lets be real, we always have our phones on us. I love that the app doesn't have to be pulled up to do its job. I can be browsing the internet or watching TV and still get all the notifications. The instructions are easy to follow and set up took maybe 30 minutes. Once its mounted correctly and facing your child, the monitor starts to cue in on your child's breathing and motion habits. The breathing graph will show once your child is asleep. You'll get a notification and its so cute: "It looks like Anderson is now asleep" and little ZzZz will appear before the graph populates.

Here you can see the Cocoon Cam starting to pick up on her breathing and face detection - keep in mind that this would look a lot different with a predominately back-sleeping baby that doesn't use blankets.

Here was my first notification that she had fallen asleep and now the detection and graphs would start! Love it!

There's a microphone option and a mute option as well. My favorite part of this product has to be the Swaddle Stories feature. After a few nights of recording your child's sleep habits, it gives you a cute, sped up video of your child through the night with some fun music. Its crazy to see how much they move around!
