How far along? 28 Weeks & 6 days

Size of Baby: 14.8 inches and 2.25 lbs

Total weight gain/loss: up 3 pounds from last month!

Symptoms: Not passing my glucose screening test was pretty awful- for some reason I was SO devastated. I had to go back yesterday for the 3 hour test which was SO much worse and I almost had to reschedule because I felt as though I would throw it up. Also, my poor arms/veins now look like a heroin addict from all of the blood work.... UPDATE: Just got the call and I have gestational diabetes... a lot is ahead of us and I would love some prayers for baby girl..

Maternity clothes? Soooo side ruching tops are in at almost every little teen store haha like the top I have on today's picture! Score!

Stretch marks? Nope- thank goodness! Tight belly though- and getting bigger!

Sleep: I have been sleeping great thank goodness! Still getting up to pee like 4 times but doing it in the dark so my brain doesn't wake up (I mean hey I've done it enough times to know where I'm aiming)

Best moment this week: Not the best week... :(

Miss Anything? Not really

Movement: She is packing some MEGA punches & kicks and it is still my #1 favorite thing in this world! (constantly too!)

Food cravings: Flavored ice and oranges all day every day

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Have you started to show yet: yes

Gender prediction: Girl! Miss Anderson Greer Otey (Andi)

Nursery: Glider is here and it looks incredible in there! The room is really coming together!

Workouts: 2 walks with Emma in this week so far (more like waddles) and squat/weights at night before bed plus stretching

Labor Signs: eeek no!

Belly Button in or out? Getting flat?

Wedding rings on or off? On but feel bigger- I think that happens in winter though

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Loving this little girl so much I seriously cannot wait to meet her!

Looking forward to: Relaxing over the weekend and hopefully spending valentines day with my hubs

Apparenty, I like sugar

Tuesday, February 10, 2015
Yep- that glucose drink at yesterday's appointment didn't phase me in the slightest. In fact, I probably could have asked for another...the fruit punch flavor (it was that or orange) tasted just like Hawaiian punch! (you know, the juice boxes you loved as a kid?) After drinking it, hubs and I went in to see the nurse and doc. We found out baby girl is in the right position but she is still able to flip so that could easily change. I had my Tdap shot and then blood drawn. According to the nurse I will actually know the results of the test today before 1pm so fingers are crossed that all goes well in that department!

It has been so gorgeous weather wise here for the last couple days. I'm talking over 60 degrees and me in short sleeves.... and then I wake up this morning (keep in mind t-shirt yesterday) to rain/wintery mix and snow covering our cars, ground and house! Beautiful yes but what the heck? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready for Spring. I"m not talking hot Summer or anything- just Spring! I never know what to wear anymore! With the nice weather however, we were able to put up our new mailbox, take Emma for some long walks and keep our you know whats outside. We're also trying to decide what order to place our next upcoming home projects in. Right now we are thinking outdoor woodstove is going in asap (super efficient for our size home and propane is KILLING us currently price wise) driveway options are next so we're not driving through side yard, siding options on house and all out buildings and then porch. WHEW- never ending right?

I also realized I needed some sort of pink/red valentine touch in our home so I threw together a quick little valentine wreath for the front door! Love the bright pink!

27 Week Bumpdate

How far along? 27 Weeks & 6 days

Size of Baby: 14.5 inches and 2 lbs

Total weight gain/loss: We'll find out on Monday!

Symptoms: Lower back pain and the bigger my round belly gets, the harder it is to get comfortable or move in and out of the bed. It's a two person effort sometimes! Also, acid reflux! What the heck? I've never had it and it is EW (cue Jimmy Fallon)

Maternity clothes? Oh yes! All day everyday! Still living in my Old Navy maternity leggings and loving the tops with the side ruching! (spelling?)

Stretch marks? Nope- thank goodness! That line is getting more visible though and my skin feels soooo tight ugh so I've been doubling up on the lotions and belly butters. My belly is literally growing by day so I wouldn't be surprised if I noticed some on the sides - boo.

Sleep: Heating pad is essential and big leg pillow!
Poor hubby gets all of his pillows stolen too!

Best moment this week: I guess getting back into a routine. Fingers crossed (and washed) that no sickness hits me- I have so many cleaning products and even CDC grade spray in my office ya'll! Can't be too careful!

Miss Anything? Being able to put on my shoes, pants and underwear without looking like I'm doing yoga and being out of breath. Shaving legs? Same thing! Also, not being able to see my lady parts...like at ALL (haha)

Movement: ALL the time! My little crazy dancer is still in full force! Her movements are no longer sporadic and quick- it is more like slow motion touches and pushes between the two of us and I melt/cry almost every time. Watching it take shape on the outside of my belly is incredible!

Food cravings: Orange juice!! I buy it 2-3 gallons at a time (no joke) and Italian ice or 7-11 icees like crazy!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Have you started to show yet:  Umm yes

Gender prediction: Girl! Miss Anderson Greer Otey (Andi)

Nursery: That glider should be here any day now!

Workouts: 2 walks with Emma in this week so far (more like waddles) and squat/weights at night before bed plus stretching

Labor Signs: eeek no!

Belly Button in or out? both?

Wedding rings on or off? On but feel bigger- I think that happens in winter though

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Loving this little girl so much already and pregnancy is literally just a healthier version of my self!

Looking forward to:Monday's glucose check appointment to get it out of the way. Also, on Saturday we have our first class at the hospital on all things newborn! (5 hours!) Thanks hubs!

Preggo Blogger Exchange!

Wednesday, February 4, 2015
OK so have ya'll noticed that the blogging community sort of blew up with pregnancy announcements? If you're not into it yet- don't drink the water! (hehe) This made it even more exciting for me when we announced back in October because this community is probably one of the best resources out there for new moms and a mom-to-be. I'm pretty sure I reach out to ya'll more than I reach for one of my books! Anyway, with that said, when Laura from Tiny Toes, Little Nose asked if I wanted to be apart of a preggo exchange with other bloggers who were due around the same month (if not the same date, shout out to Laura & Jess) I said heck yes girl!

I received the most beautiful and fun package from Amanda at Tickled Pink and not only did I ADORE her gifts, I gained a new blog to gush over! She sent little miss Andi the cutest pink dress and matching bloomers, a tea sampler pack, chocolates (which barely lasted long enough for me to take the picture) a fabulous pink and gold journal, silk sleep mask AND furry bootie slippers! Her card was the sweetest and made me feel like I had known her for years! Thanks Amanda!

Want to check out who else was involved? Here are all the bloggers that participated:

Courtney: A+ Life
Amanda: Tickled Pink
Jessica: The Newly

Happening Lately

Tuesday, February 3, 2015
Hey ya'll, long time no talk (or type) today is my first day back to work and back to a routine in 7 days! Just to give ya'll a little update- the norovirus broke out at Hampden-Sydney College and if you're in the VA area you've seen this all over the local news since its now spreading through Farmville and hitting Longwood University. Basically, with me being preggo and all, I called out of work starting last Tuesday. Then, on Wednesday of last week, the decision was made to close campus until today with classes not resuming until tomorrow so I didn't feel bad about taking precaution and calling out anyway. YUCK! Over 300 were treated and the VA Health Department has come in and done a super clean etc. etc. but I'm still paranoid and LOADED with all sorts of cleaning supplies agents and if you need to come in my office or borrow a pen you will be punched (with gloves on of course) Its been a nice little vacay but here's to good hygiene and hand washing and clorox and bleach...you get it.

The weekend and time off was much needed! I got a lot of rest and has the best time celebrating Hillary at her bridal shower and bachelorette! That girl time was so therapeutic and I loved every second of being able to catch up with those ladies! Her wedding is just 4 weeks away and I'll get to see them all again! (just ordered my first semi-formal maternity dress so I pray it fits!) Anyway, I hope everyone is doing fabulous and ummm who watched that train wreck of a Bachelor episode last night? (HA!)

Around the clock theme!

A little super bowl fun!

My Bachelor date- looking thrilled!

How are your brackets coming along??
