What's Hap-"Pinning"

Wednesday, November 11, 2015
Mad love to our photographer- that, ladies and gentlemen, is what's hap-"pinning" around these parts. We recently (after having to reschedule twice..thank goodness she likes us) had our family portraits done and I seriously couldn't be happier about the results. We decided just to do them at home because I wanted to use familiar spaces as backdrops and have Andi in her own room. I am so impressed with Sweet Memories by Jessica Coffee photography. She works with Andi so well and literally has since day 5. Day 5 of her life that is when she came and did Andi's newborn shoot. I wanted to show off some of her work today so be prepared for a photo dump ya'll! Also, she may or may not have taken some shots for a future blog makeover I've been dreaming about....

Link up with my fabulous co-host Jenn or myself and let us know what's going on in your life! Remember, it can be anything! Happy Wednesday!

Did you say custom?

Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Ya'll, I have to share my most recent personalized creation - custom phone cases from Caseapp.com! I went to their website and browsed their designs and fell in love with more than one...but anyone that knows me knows that it has to be personalized, am I right? You can upload a picture, drawing, monogram or anything that tickles your fancy! The site is super user friendly and it took no time to design my custom case. You can also design laptop and ipad skins if phone cases aren't your thing. The shipping was pretty fast and I LOVE how my design turned out! Also, if you're reading this and want to create one of your own, Jessi's Design readers get a 20% off discount code on your purchase! But hurry because it is only valid for one week. Just put the code JESSISDESIGN20 in your cart before purchasing and enjoy your custom iphone or Samsung case!

Obsessed! (she's on my background too.....hehe)
My phone is now a wok of art...never to be stashed in purse again! LOVE!

Weekending

Monday, November 9, 2015
Hey ya'll and happy Monday! Is your Monday as rainy and dreary as mine? I hope not, but then again it does make coffee, snuggling, playing and PJ's that much better. This weekend Miss A was invited to her first social event and we had a blast! (because the punch was spiked for the adults...genius) Her little gal pal Ella turned 1 and had a fabulous, oh-so girly soiree. Afterwards, we ordered some pizza and watched some movies to continue on our girl time into Saturday night. I watched Age of Adeline and The Entourage Movie. First one was a cute but far-fetched love story but I do love me some Blake Lively. Side note, it is heart-breaking how old Harrison Ford has gotten! Entourage was not as good as I had expected but it is ALWAYS ok in my book to see Mark Walhburg so that made up for it. Sunday, Andi and I ate dinner with my in-laws and today hubby has the whole day off with us! Later in the week I have not one but two wedding planning meetings so today I am taking advantage of relaxing! I hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend!

Baby Food: Almost 7 Months

Thursday, November 5, 2015
Ok ya'll so I HAVE to do a post about my new favorite thing: Baby Food Making. I never in a million years thought I'd be the Mom making her own baby food but oh my goodness it is so easy! I think I just thought, who has the time for that? But the Baby Breeza makes it so easy! I actually started to do some research when Miss A hit the 6 month mark and became interested in everything we were eating. It was almost heart-breaking to eat in front of her. Although she was exclusively breastfed at the time, she was SO curious and ready to eat so we decided to introduce solids right at 6 months. (She still breastfeeds on schedule, solids at this point I feel like are for introducing foods, textures and getting their palettes ready for later on!)

When doing research on how to begin this new food journey, I came across April's post at A.Liz Adventres about feeding her baby around the same age. She gave the best review on the Baby Breeza and I thought, "Hey, I think I can handle that!" I went to Target and snagged the last one they had on the shelf. Ya'll, it is SUPER simple and you do not need to be a SAHM with unlimited amounts of time- I promise! This baby steams and blends in one, making it so easy to use. A lot of other processors or blenders don't have that built in steam feature. Chop up your fruit, veggie or meat, press how long you want it to steam and blend and literally walk away. You can do whatever else you need to while the Breeza works its magic. When it is done, it will beep loudly and go into the blend feature. Afterwards, I let it cool and then keep some fresh for Miss A to devour and also freeze some for later. I just use ice trays and Ziploc freezer storage bags and it works like a charm. I mean hey, at least you know exactly what they are eating this way! The Breeza also comes with a fabulous recipe book and detailed instructions on steam time, etc.

So far there hasn't been a food that Miss A doesn't enjoy. She is SUCH a fabulous eater and we have really been lucky with her. I've made green beans, carrots, red potatoes, sweet potatoes, applesauce, ground turkey, avocados and I also mix a lot. I'm pretty sure the only terrible face she has made thus far was with bananas! We need to try those again! She also has fortified oatmeal with some breast milk in the morning that comes in a variety of flavors like peach, apple, banana etc from Gerber. Anyway, so far so good and she is growing like a weed. I'm excited to try new foods with her but can time please slow down? Let me know if you try it and like it or if you have any questions! Also, any tips on sippy cups and liquids would be greatly appreciated!

Products we love! She goes to town on those lil' biscuits in her mesh feeder!

What's Hap-"pinning"

Wednesday, November 4, 2015
Hump day already and that means it's time for another What's Hap-"Pinning" Link up with Jenn and myself! Just grab our button and join in with whatever is on your mind! I still have Fall fashion on the brain so this almost 80 degree weather crap in November is not making it easy to dress the part.... today I basically had shorts and a tank top on outside! It was nice being able to take Miss A out yesterday evening for a stroll!

Ok - so I've been drooling over statement necklaces and jeweled tops lately. They're my go-to with Pinterest lately and I love adding these pieces to my wardrobe. (I may or may not have just ordered two pretty crystal statement necklaces for my jewelry display) However, being a SAHM makes it hard to wear these as much as I'd like to... I do plan on pairing some of my jeweled neckline sweaters with leggings for the stay-at-home win! Comfy + chic = perfect! Below are some of my favorite pieces I've seen lately. What is your favorite way to be stylish + glamorous without being over the top? Can't wait to see what's hap-"pinning" in your life currently!

Weekending

Monday, November 2, 2015
This weekend was such a blast! Hubs got called to work last minute which was no fun but we dressed Andi up a tad earlier so he could see her all bunny like! Although I didn't take her trick or treating this year, we did go by a haunted woods/house that our local fire department was putting on. Don't worry, my aunt held onto Andi while Mom and I went through it. My Dad was actually a part of it this year! So fun! Afterwards, it was already way later than Miss A's bed time and my Dad was staying with his Dad that night so it was just Mom at the house. Since Seth was working, I decided to put Miss Andi down and stay the night with Mama. We finished off a bottle of wine, watched the Sixth Sense (cried the whole time, once you have children - how heartbreaking is that darn movie?) and then we watched Scream from start to finish in honor of Halloween. Ha! Mom had never seen it and it was the only thing on the movie channels with no commercials. Sunday we lounged, watched way too much Flea Market Flip and had Sunday dinner with the family. Overall it was a great, relaxing Halloween weekend!

Today I'm awaiting a preview to our family portrait sesh! I hope everyone had a fabulous and safe Halloween weekend! Happy November ya'll! Linking up with B and Meghan for Weekending!

I'm the white bunny back in 1987! haha!
